Papa's Charity History
Papa's Events is a music and events organisation based in Dundee that was started in 2006 by Ian Clark.
A Dundee local who had spent the last few years working on the Dundee night-life scene.
One day back in 2006 by he received a message on Myspace.com by a local girl. A friendship was struck up with Ian. Later Ian learned that local girl was in the process of moving to India to work in a school for the blind. Realising this was a great cause Ian wanted to help, so he set about organising Papa's first ever event.
The event was located at The Doghouse in Dundee now home to Dukes Corner. With the help and support of the local music scene and it's fans the event sold out. The money raised helped the girl go to India and make a massive difference to other peoples lives. Over the years Papa's has continued to support individuals as well as local and international charities.

Lennon's Fund
This Year Ian will be raising money for Lennon's Fund. This is charity very close to him. At the heart of this charity is a local child called Lennon
Lennon is 3 years old and suffers from the condition Cerebral Palsy Spastic Quadriplegia. He is also partially sighted. Lennon and his twin sister Kayla were born 13 weeks premature. With Lennon's fund the aim is to raise the funds necessary to give Lennon the space, equipment and private therapy he needs. Spastic Quadriplegia is the most Severe type of Cerebral Palsy, which effects all four limbs and can affect sufferers both physically and mentally. Lennon requires 24 hour care at the moment. Helping to give Lennon his own space and equipment will improve his life and help him to learn to do the basic things in life. Please help us to help Lennon; by doing so one day Lennon can live the life his parents have always wanted for him. Extra equipment and care can bring Lennon on in leaps and bounds. The funding raised for Lennon will go towards a sensory/soft play room plus more advanced equipment for him along with intense physiotherapy which will help Lennon get stronger. In the nearer future we hope Lennon can get a life changing Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy operation in America or in Bristol. This particular surgery has a 100% success rate, but in order for Lennon to get this operation, he needs to be showing some independence and must be able to sit or stand unaided. With all your hep and support we aim to raise the much needed funds to get the necessary equipment for Lennon to live a better life. Please help change this little local boys life by donating now. Nadine Duffy Fund
I had the pleasure of knowing Nadine Duffy but recently Nadine sadly passed away on the 17th of September 2013 in the Spanish holiday resort of Magaluf whilst working as a holiday rep. Her family needed roughly £10,000 to fly Nadine's body back to the United Kingdom. So i recently created the website www.Nadineduffy.co.uk and a twitter account @BringNadineHome so people can use these for updates, news and events regarding Nadine.
In Nadine's home town of Dundee, incredible community spirit has been shown by everyone who knew Nadine, and support by those who have been touched by this tragic event. In the last few days news broke that everyone involved in Nadine's campaign had managed to raise over £28,000. There are still ongoing events and money still to be handed in which will take the total extremely higher. Since the amount raised is nearly three times the amount needed, Nadine's family have also pledged to use the excess and remaining money to start a charity to help other families who have experienced, or going through similar trauma of losing a loved one overseas. You can still help! With this vital funding you the ability to change not only the lives of one family who have suffered a horrendous tragedy but numerous, as the remaining funds will be used to help others who have found themselves in similar situations. There is other ways you can help too We know some people can't afford to donate but that doesn't mean you can't help, you can share this page through social networks and websites like Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Please share this page so this can be spread throughout the world. Make a donation To Nadine's Fund

Ian also took part in The Dundee Cyclathon, a 26 mile cycle route organised by The Rotary Club of Dundee. Ian cycled this event in a onesie to make the challenge a bit tougher... he wasn't anticipating the torrential rain that day.
